Pumpkin spice may have come out two weeks ago, but it's just starting to feel like fall around here. To me, nothing says fall like layers. Lots of layers. Of course, nothing layers better than a cozy sweater. Here are five of my favourites for this autumn:
J. Crew Elbow-patch Sweater in "Indigo"
I am obsessed with elbow patches. I just adore the way they look. When I saw this sweater in J. Crew's new arrivals section the other day, I knew I just had to have it. Navy & elbow patches? It really doesn't get any better than that for autumn!
Club Monaco Thea Merino Sweater in "White/Black Stripe"
This sweater would be perfect on cold weather days with skinny black pants & boots. I love the simplicity of the black & white stripes! Perhaps recently watching Coco Avant Chanel has something to do with my renewed interest in a stark black & white colour palette?
J. Crew Factory Warmspun Intarsia Sweater in "French Lady"
I missed out on this chic sweater at the regular J. Crew stores last year (although I think last year's version was tan & not grey) so I'm hoping to snap it up this season. Once again, this may have something to do with watching Coco Avant Chanel last weekend...
Banana Republic Heritage Chunky Cable Crew Sweater in "Marble"
Last winter, I went on the hunt for the perfect cream-coloured sweater. I ended up finding one that was good but not perfect. I'm thinking that this chunky cable knit may be the cream sweater of my dreams. I can definitely see it paired with cognac-coloured boots & jeans for fall!
J. Crew Merino Pocket Tunic in "Heather Grey"
At first I didn't understand why the entire blogosphere was going crazy over the Merino Pocket Tunic from J. Crew. It really didn't look that flattering on the website! Then I saw Carly wearing it the other day & now I'm totally on the bandwagon. I love how Carly styled it was simple black pants & flats. I think it would also pair perfectly with a white button down shirt & jeans! How would you wear it?
