Lilly After Party Sale.

Sorry for the silence around here - it's been yet another long blogging break on my part! I'm going to hopefully get more into blogging once school starts up again but I'm not sure how consistent it'll be. Apparently having a life outside of graduate school is borderline impossible, which definitely makes me a little nervous for the start of classes in September.
On a happier note, I am so excited about all of my After Party sale purchases from Lilly Pulitzer! While I can't shop on the main Lilly site (any time you want to start shipping outside of the US, Lilly, you just let me know), I managed to score some great Lilly items from stores like Village Palm - which is my go-to store for all things Lilly - & Ocean Palm. Let me just tell you, though, that shopping this year's sale was my #ohshift moment. I tried to order online through one Lilly store (which promised it could ship internationally through it's site), only to spend over half an hour trying to figure out why there were no shipping options for my address. Ask me how thrilled I was about that at six in the morning...Luckily, I could still order via phone so after trying to get through to both stores (plus leaving a voicemail or two) all morning, I ended up with a few items off of my wish list!

Tate skirt in Resort White "Watch Out"
Originally $98; on sale for $54 at Village Palm!
I had been trying to track down this skirt for what feels like forever. I had purchased it in the "She She Shells" print back in July & couldn't justify buying the same skirt in two prints. Needless to say, it was definitely at the top of my sale wish list! A nautical print & anchor details - how could I resist?

Cala skort in Hotty Pink "Get Crackin'"
Originally $78; on sale for $39 at Village Palm!
Like the Tate, I had bought the Cala earlier this summer. After basically wearing my Cala in "Lobstah Roll" to death this summer, I figured I might as well get it in another print!

Murfee scarf in Spa Blue "Nice Tail"
Originally $118; on sale for $59 at Ocean Palm!
The Little Mermaid is my favourite Disney movie of all time, so I just had to have this mermaid print scarf! I wish DTE & I were going back to Disneyland over New Year's this year - how cute would this scarf be for photos with Ariel?!

"Fa La Lilly" holiday cards
Originally $17.95; on sale for $8.95 at Ocean Palm!
I was so excited to see Christmas cards included in this year's sale! I've always wanted Lilly holiday cards & can't wait to mail a few of these out this year!

Did you purchase anything in the sale? What was your favourite item that you bought? Anything you missed out on? Let me know! I love reading about everyone's sale purchases!

Where I've Been...

It's amazing how quickly time slips by. I looked at this blog today & realized it's been nearly two months since my last post. Here's a bit of what's been going on in my life since April!

Image via my (many) photos from the trip.
DTE & I went to Florida for two weeks in May & had the best time. From meeting tons of characters (including eleven of the princesses!) to going on rides & trying out so many of the amazing restaurants, it was one of my favourite holidays to date. I especially loved getting to try the "grey stuff" at Be Our Guest, meeting Anna & Elsa (what can I say - I love "Frozen"), & going to the Lilly store in Sarasota! I also loved getting to stay at both the Port Orleans Riverside during our trip. We also stayed at the Grand Floridian for part of our trip - the hotel & grounds were absolutely gorgeous! I can only dream of being back in Florida now...

We came back in time to celebrate my 24th birthday. It seems so funny that I started this blog right after my 21st birthday as a way of writing down what I found interesting (which, looking back, looks like a lot of shopping). I'm really not sure what to post about going forward so I would love suggestions. What would you like to read or see?

June kicked off with my university convocation. I am now officially a university graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree! I was also super excited to be accepted into both programs I applied to - one masters program in art history & one masters in museum studies program. I chose art history & I can't wait to get started in September!

Other than the big moments, I've been working, running when I can, & trying to spend lots of time with my family, friends, & boyfriend. I've also been working at crossing things off of my 101 in 1001 list (which is how I'm justifying my current Netflix addiction). What have you been up to over the last few months? I would love to catch up!

Five Things Friday.

Cap it off edition.
At the end of February, I made my first ever Marley Lilly purchase (you can read about it here). I bought the navy baseball cap with a white monogram & I love it. Since then, I can't help but look for more cute hats (plus ways to wear them). Do you wear hats? I would love to know how you wear them since I don't know how (except for on the golf course). I'm thinking that my hat collection will definitely grow once my shopping ban has been lifted! Here are a few I've been eyeing lately:

Vineyard Vines Whale Logo Baseball Cap in Aurora
One of the things I'm most excited for in Florida is definitely the shopping! There are so many brands available in the US that aren't carried here, like Lilly & Vineyard Vines. For some reason, I've been obsessed with this pink hat since I saw it on the Vineyard Vines website. The combination of pink & navy may have had something to do with it...

Southern Tide Skipjack Hat in White
Southern Tide is a brand I was introduced to through blogging & for some reason, I'm obsessed with their baseball caps. I love the little fish logo on the front! Perfect for throwing on with jeans or shorts for a casual look.

Smathers & Branson Delta Gamma Needlepoint Hat in Navy
I love finding Delta Gamma items that aren't your typical shirt with letters or tote bag, This navy Smathers & Branson cap is the perfect (& perfectly casual way) to show my love for my sorority! Plus, how can I say no to that adorable needlepoint anchor?

ItzyTripzyBaby Monogrammed Anchor Baseball Cap in Hot Pink
Speaking of adorable anchors, I seriously cannot get enough of the anchor & monogram combination on this adorable monogrammed cap! Adding a monogram is the perfect way to personalize your hat.

Fraternity Collection Bow Tie Hat
I love the little bow tie logo from Fraternity Collection. It's just too cute! I think this hat would be perfect for summertime wear, especially on the golf course or at the beach. There's something that's just so summery about a crisp white ball cap!

Most Wanted Monday.

Kiel James Patrick's new Atlantic Pearl collection is seriously the most perfect thing I have ever seen. I've been totally obsessed with it since it came out & can't wait to purchase one of the bracelets for myself! I think it would be the perfect graduation gift. I love the combination of pearls & an anchor, not to mention the navy ribbon that acts as the clasp. Pearls with anchors & a navy accent? It really doesn't get any better than that!

What I'm Loving Wednesday.

Happy Wednesday everyone! This just might be the happiest Wednesday of all Wednesdays. Why's that? Read on to find out what I'm loving...

I'm loving that today is my last ever day of classes for my undergraduate degree! I can't believe that I'm finally & actually done. Now to just survive final exams & papers & I'll be done with my Bachelor of Arts degree!

I'm loving this bikini that I ordered online a few weeks ago. The retro halter fit is super cute & I love the classic navy colour. Plus the price was amazing. Cute & affordable swimwear - it doesn't get any better for summer than that.

I'm loving that there are so many new stores opening up in my hometown, including Kate Spade! It's pretty safe to say that I'll be spending a little bit of time (& probably a lot of money there). Do you shop at Kate Spade? What are some of your favourite pieces?

Most Wanted Monday.

I still have two weeks until I'm able to start shopping again, but I'm pretty sure I know what my first purchase will be. I've had my eye on this scalloped dress from J. Crew since I first saw it in the new arrivals a few weeks ago & I'm hoping to make it mine as soon as Lent is over! I absolutely adore the subtle scalloped detail around the neckline as well as the classic cut.

While I'm still waiting, I have plenty of time to debate over the colour that I'll buy. Do I stick with tried & true navy? Do I go bold & purchase the persimmon colour? Which would you choose?

Five Things Friday.

Get nauti edition.
There's something about spring (& maybe about being a DG) that makes me obsess over anything nautical. This spring, I'm loving J. Crew Factory's collection of all things anchored. Have you been to J. Crew Factory recently? Here are a few items that caught my eye on my last trip.

Charley Sweater in "All Over Anchor"
I saw this sweater in the store the other week & thought the anchor print was super cute for spring! I love that J. Crew Factory released sweaters as part of the spring line especially because we still have snow on the ground here! I think this would be super cute layered with a button down until it warms up!

Anchor Collector Tee in "Ivory"
One of my favourite things about J. Crew Factory is that you can often get items that you might have missed out on the previous year. I was super bummed last summer when neither my local store nor the website had this anchor print tee in stock! I'm hoping my local Factory store will have one for me - it would be perfect with shorts or skirts for summer!

Triangle Bikini Top in "Navy Floating Anchors"
I really loved the anchor print that J. Crew had last summer so I was super excited to see it on several Factory items, including swimwear! I love the classic cut & perfectly summery anchor print of this bikini. I think it would be perfect for oceanside lounging with a casual cap or big hat.

Anchor Collector Tee in "Navy"
I have the hardest time finding cute t-shirts for warm weather. You would sooner catch me in a button down than in a short-sleeved top! This t-shirt would be perfect with bright shorts for a casual summer look, don't you think?

Jacquard Dot Anchor Popover
I really, really wanted to love this popover because of the print but it was so boxy on me when I tried it on in the store! I was pretty upset about that, although at least that meant I didn't break my Lenten promise! I think that, on the right body, it would be super cute tucked into a skirt or shorts.
